So I’m jogging to the gym at 4pm and it is that golden perfect time 20 minutes before the sun starts setting where the light comes in sideways bathing the city in gold, when I hear the chatter of snare drums and the general ballyhoo of celebratory crowds.
It was then that I realized the MLS finals between Salt Lake and LA was being hosted in Seattle, 4 blocks away. I raced home, grabbed my camera and tried to film as many of the face painted fans and tomfoolery as possible.
Legions of fans swept into the stadium as taco trucks tonged chorizo as fast as their hands could fly. 3rd eye blind played some songs from their new, not anticipated album which were not good.
The stadium filled, the sun went down and I went home and asked Bridget if she had any happy hour plans.
