Children of Laos

After a motorcycle journey of 130 km from Mai Chau, Vietnam to Vieng Xai, Laos, these children, playing in a pond, were some of the first people I saw.

Their expressions are a joyous mystery to me!

      There thinking, “Is this guy lost?” the stern expression on the little girls face has captivated me for the last 2 years…

      more pix are coming, (once a week?) and I am putting the final touches on a massive flickr archive of my adventure pix…but alas, I am back in Seattle…no bike riding to Vientiane for me, at least not this month!
